Been looking around, getting prices for re covering the buddy seat, rock and roll bed, boot mattress as og ones all torn and brittle and making a spare wheel cover. Couldn't justify at present the cost to re do so thought, I learnt to weld, do mechanics, paint, do electrics so why not stitch! And yes I am a Bloke

Well................ results as follows....................

Exactly, if you have a machine and the time, material is easy to find so..
I found it very therapeutic, and its quite enjoyable seeing the missus trying to pic fault at my effort!! 8)

Cracking job.

Cheers myvanway!

Can't believe a full year has gone and it's mot day already! Looking at my old pictures of last mot and the van looks totally different!!

Only had 2 mot's with my van and both times it breaks!!!

Cuffing hand brake cable broke whilst testing

But....................... it PASSED :party0053:

Kept the guy talking whilst doing the MOT, had a right chin wag, don't think he checked half of what he should have done

Getting the bus ready for Volksworld!!!

Mot ... Check
Free tax disc ... Check

:party0046:

Decided to make the rear hinge cover today, made some formers, covered in bendy plywood, scribed in and cut to shape, filled and sanded and covered in matching seat vinyl and fitted into place!!!

:beerchug:

So 9 trips around the van today and I knackered!

So it began with a 1500 gauge wet and dry to my paintwork which is nerve racking when you've spent so much time, money, sweat and tears in getting her to where it is now !

2nd trip was washing it down

3rd trip was a chamois leather

4th trip was Auto glym paint restore

5th trip was polishing off all the residue

6th trip was another wash

7th trip was another chamois leather

8th trip was NXT McGuires wax polish

9th trip was to buff up!

And all by hand! Beer o'clock and time for a rest!

And the results........
