just trying to think of the best way to explain this. right , well, erm....... they work as normal once i pressurize them up but when i release the button theres a slight weaping that is continuous and water just keep seeping out. its not alot but it really annoys me. can anyone suggest a fix before i go and buy a new switch?

Theres a good chance its just the operating rod sticking in the wiper switch.

Theres no need to remove the switch from the dash.

If you carefully remove the push button from the middle of the wiper switch you will see it operates a little stalk. If the stalk din't come out with the button then with some tweezers gently pull this stalk out. Clean up the stalk and its tube using a bit of wd40. Re assemble and chances are all will work again like new.

Let me know how it goes :)
