Got a call from my daughter "Dad!...we've broken down! :( "
The fuse for the 'hot-start' relay had blown, lying under a bus in a busy supermarket carpark focuses the mind  ended up having to bump start it, fuses kept blowing.

Well done Gvee on your engine............. :D

Some pics of a few of us that supported Somerset Dub's leading the first carnival of the year.
Was certainly something different.

Going for the same setup with mine, is 76bhp good? No idea how to interpret these things.

Standard is around 50bhp, so by increasing the overall cc by around 50, adding a mild cam and twin 36's, I was expecting to get around 65-70bhp, so to get over 10% more is a result I'm chuffed with. Hills are the biggest problem for buses, and mine is loads better since upgrading.

Picked up the repaired engine last night :D

Will be 10 days before i get to fire it up though, family life eh!!

Regards.

managed to make a start and build up the engine to turnkey less the exhaust ready to refit in about 4 days time when family life permits.
Can't wait and feeling apprehensive to see if repair has worked :|

Finally reinstated the exhaust, towbar, rear valance and bumper last night and fired up Valerie and the engine sounded really quiet.
Waited til this morning before i backed out of the garage and took her for a spin in the dry aswell :p Only did 3 miles there and back (it looked like rain   ).

All is good after the long road to repairing the cylinder stud.
Big thanks go out to Dave,(some of you may know him by the name of Whirligig) for bailing me out of the *****!!

Regards.

Finally got the 3 jobs done that the van failed on. Front brake hose, loose c.v.bolt and rear 1/4 panel, not rusty just popped apart from an old dent.
Shock was the hose was only 2 yrs old and completely knackered.
