Hi, what size do I need - is 110Ah best? I am planning on getting one fitted and it would be really for festivals etc where there is no hook-up, ie Glastonbury over 5 days.
It might depend on size if its going in the engine bay. Some 110s are big. Also they tend to get a little expensive as well. Ive got the smaller one and its never let me down yet, but it depends what you plan on running off it really. If your going to run a smoke extractor you might need the bigger size.
you need to figure out what you are running off it....
and yes the bigger it is the longer it should last but then most people will hang more stuff off it, but big can mean BIG and as said above a lot of 110s' wont fit in the engine bay so you have to go under the seat.....
I fitted a 85AH leisure battery as the 100AH was just to big for the engine bay and wouldn't fit underneath the RnR due to all the additional wiring and sockets i fitted
ive got a 110amp fittted in the engine bay, its where the van battery normaly goes and the van one is on the pass side. Only trouble is that when it needs charging and has to come out, so does the air filter assy so that i can get it out. Had support brackets welded on to help support the weight.
Bought the battery a few yrs ago when they were not so bad on preice the 110 was only £10 more
