I'm a postie, although I did admin and finance for 10 years before that!

I love being a postie as I spend half my day inside and the other half out in the sunshine ( :lol: ) - the pay is OK too! I also get to eat what I like as I burn it all off on the bike/walking!

I'm a maintenance engineer for a company that make torque wrenches and other torque equipment. I'm pretty much my own boss, the pay is reasonable, the hours are great and the best thing of all is that we have shot blasting, powdercoating and painting equipment amongst many other useful tools, great for all those homers.

As Earl the Bay has said we are Trimmers and Specialise in VW interiors, We are lucky enough to get up and look forward to work in the morning. We do all volkswagen and any classic car interiors, and we will be at B.V.F with a trade stand and it would be great to meet up with any of you and please come and say hello.

If anyone needs any advice on interior trimming, give us a shout.
 
i'm a architect been in the job for about 5 years but trained for another 6 ontop of that!

used to love it and you have to its not that good money for the hours and huge student loans you run up! lost my passion for it of late thou, to many hours and no thanks for any of it!

if only you could sit in a field in a ealry bay bus getting slowly drunken for a living ey!
 
I'm a system support technician for Alstom Transport, carrying out various repairs, upgrades, mods etc on the Virgin Westcoast Mainline Tilting trains
 
Commercial Interior Designer for the last 9 years, doing bars, restaurants, clubs and hotels. Just starting to get props for my work in the trade mags now which is cool :D . It keeps the bus on the road....

I'm an optometrist specialising in domiciliary visits and on the odd occasion have used the vw bay to do this!
 
I am a Graphic Designer for a company called Multi Labels, we do a lot of work for the big supermarkets, any of you guys drinking ale, cider or wine from there might have just had some of my work on it, we also do a lot more :D been doing it for 10 years now, wouldn't mind moving in to other design areas. It's a whole lot of fun!! :p
 
Mines really dull, I'm a shift manager for DHL in a warehouse they run for Comet. The jobs really boring but the moneys good & I get every morning to work on my bus :D .

No dude I work for bel-air in Belfast! I know a couple of a guys from coolair, its a small industry, you nearly know most people in the trade! Is your bro over here?

No dude I work for bel-air in Belfast! I know a couple of a guys from coolair, its a small industry, you nearly know most people in the trade! Is your bro over here?

He's not stationed in Belfast, But he did go over a month ago to do some repairs... They got a call at 8pm asking for them to go over (from Birmingham!) and do it, they were back the next night... Why they didn't get someone closer to the unit to do it, i don't know!

Self employed paving and hard landscaping geezer really.. to be honest i love my work..!!
 
im a section leader for an engineering company in leeds. we make gaskets,seals and valves for the oil field industry. not the most exciting job in the world, but it pays the mortgage, and keeps the bus on the road!
 
im a telecoms engineer for what was marconi, now called telent, pretty cool job doing all kinds of work around the UK 8)
 
I'm an applications engineer for HP (that's Hewlett-Packard not the sauce) based in Hungerford doing software stuff for digital photo kiosk systems like you see in Tesco, Boots, Sainsbury's etc.
 
I work at Rod's Aussie VWs.
Technically I'm an apprentice panel beater as that's what I'm working towards being qualified in but I do strip down/rebuilds, stereo fitting, some mechanical work etc and I'm learning painting on the side as well.
 
I used to do hush hush security stuff for big businesses and the rich and famous (wig wearing spectacled pop star :wink: ) now I play with lasers on rooftops with an IT company......not too bad, early starts and early finishes, but it all pays the bills :mrgreen:
