my box I believe needs a input shaft bearing, think it needs to be stripped down to change the bearing ????
so - refurb at cogbox approx. £650
OR
direct replacement with VW Heritage Rancho box £725 plus vat (I reclaim vat as company van...) plus later style clutch £77 plus vat.
plus £350 refundable deposit for old gearbox (do we still get discount for eb members....)
Is there any value keeping my old gearbox as its original to vehicle or does it not matter whatsoever....is the later clutch any better / worse.....
which would you do (btw, don't want a taller 4th gear as not needed on mine so no freeway flyer suggestions ta...)
