    Devon roof vinyl

I've been meaning to do this job for years and now she's finally getting some good coin spent on her with some new paint etc it's time to tackle the roof. Changing out the top inner seal seems simple enough but i'm searching for some vinyl to lay down on top to make it extra weather tight...

    Heater cable fitment

My bus came with no heater cables connected to the exchangers when I bought it. I've just been wedging open the exchanger flaps on a cold day  Where in the cab do the cables go down through? Near the handbrake? Also, do they just go through pipes in the bus' bodywork from front to rear...

    Smokey engine

I just noticed today whilst playing about with the throttle in the driveway that when the engine is revved initially, smoke appears from the exhaust. It only happens for a second or so and disappears. The engine oil is spot on, no play in the bottom pulley and the bus drives like a dream. Any...

    Gearbox rumble

Hi guys, Was out for the first camping trip of the year the other day and suddenly the gearbox has developed a rumble when pulling away but only when cold and it only does it once and the sound disappears. I've done around 2000 miles since last oil change, there's no sign of any leaks and gear...

    Engine re-fitted, strange things happening!

Hi guys, Got the engine back in after fitting a dress up kit, tinware painted, new clutch etc. Wired it all up this morning, fired it up and it ran albeit a bit rough. Checked all connections, leads and went to start again, this time just turning over and not firing. Went for a third time now...

    Dynamo/generator thread??

Got the engine out at the moment with plans to tart up the tinware etc. My fan nut is so tight that I've mangled the inner pulley on the dynamo. I was going to change that to chrome anyway so it's no big deal. Now the pulley is off the only other way I can think to get the fan nut off is lock...

    What Bentley manual to have?

I'm on the look out for a bentley manual. I notice there are two. A green cover and a blue cover and the blue manual costs 80 quid!! Whats the difference? Cheers.

    1200 mile UK road trip.

The mrs and I are not long back from our first big camping holiday in the bus and what a blast! Some good sites I'd thought I'd share: Mortonhall caravan and camping site in Edinburgh. Great site with the cleanest showers and toilets we had on our trip. Only 20 mins bus journey in to the city...

    Bus security

Has anyone got or know of any kind of steering lock or pedal lock mechanism for a bus? I've been looking for a while but can't find anything other than the usual steering locks from Halfrauds and they are too small? Cheers!

    Door mirror removal

There's probably a simple solution to this.....how does the door mirror come off? Is there a captive nut or nut up inside the door although if there is there's not enough room to get a spanner in about! The nut on the outside goes slack but then tight again. I don't really want to force it in...

    Wanted - Devon table leg

I need the main table leg. I have the other shorter legs but need to use a small block of wood to keep the table level. Not ideal! Any condition will do. Thanks. R.

    Seat fitment, help needed please!

I've finally found the time to start fitting a pair of original seats i got hold of. The existing seats have been welded in to place! So far after about 5 cutting discs and a few curses it's getting there....but....there only seems to be one bolt hole to hold the passenger seat at the rear right...

    Roof rack rubbers

I've just got my roof rack back from being powder coated. Looks the biz! Although I need the rubber feet/protectors that sit on the clamp area for the gutters of the bus. Been hunting high and low but can't find anything like them anywhere!. Any ideas? It's an original rack the same as lobie's...

    What's the correct aerial position??

Guys, I'm fitting an aerial to my bus as the radio now and then would be a good change from the iPod. Simple job I imagine right? The thing is I'm not sure where to mount the aerial on the front panel. Is it left/right side, double or single mount? I've seen many different ways they have been...

    Seat covers

So. I've came across some fairly cheap seat covers but they are for a 74-76 bus. Does anyone happen to know what the difference is with 71 bus seats and would they fit mine? Cheers. :)

    Stereo wiring help/diagram?

I'm sorry if there has been a thread on this before. I looked but can't seem to see one. I'm thinking of fitting a head unit to the bus this afternoon. Does anyone have a wiring diagram or any pointers that would help? Cheers!.

    Binding rear brake

Keep having trouble with the NSR brake drum binding on. I've backed off the thumb adjusters so much that I can't get a handbrake on that side and everything is greased and free and the drum spins freely but still after 15mins of driving the drum is cooking again. Any suggestions? Maybe a fooked...

I know these things are like gold dust but I'm on the hunt for a passenger seat. Doesn't have to be mint but reasonable condition would be good. Thanks.
