Hi, has anybody fitted one of these as i am about to. Is there a prefered setting as there are 14 to chose from, its a 1600 t/p with 36 drla Dellortos.
Start with curve 0 then adjust the timing if you need to.
heres the pdf list go to the application sheet that will show the correct curve for the timing you initially set. Ive seen two 1600 TP beetles with these and they were both running on the curve 0 with no problems.
I have one fitted but only towards the end of last year, so whilst all seems good, I haven't done much mileage with it. My mechanic left it as factory setting, 0. His opinion was that the different curves didn't mean much due to the set up I have and it being a camper. I do trust him but I may well have a play when the weather gets better and i can compare any differences. I have a 1600 tp with 34 ICTS.
Went for a 60 mile run with the distributor set on 0 curve, felt really smooth no flat spots and seemed to pull a bit better up hills . Has anyone tried the multi-spark-feature of number 2 curve.
I'm veryy interested in one of these dizzys, where did you get yours from as the price seems quite variable depending on the exchange rate......I saw that there was a carb place down south selling them butjust wondering if there were any bargains to be had :mrgreen:
