34 pict 3 question ..

Guys

Just stripping carb looking for an issue with rough running when cold.

It seems the accelerator pump injector ( the brass curved tube ) is missing..

Heritage have them in but was wondering what effect this not being there would have?

I had one fall off on a beetle once. You end up with a massive flat spot as what should be a net of fuel hitting the edge of a casting ends up being a dribble of fuel that just sits in the manifold.

cheers bud .. sounds about right ..hesitation from tickoverand rough when cold.

Just worried where its gone! ... if it was ever there in the first place..I couldnt say for sure

Well I stripped the heads off on the beetle as I was worried of the damage it might have done. All I could find was a couple of small scratches on the top of a piston so I wouldn't be too worried might even have a picture somewhere....

When you refit make sure you aim it so it hits the lip down the carb throat and sprays out.
