Hey there, i thought it was about time i started a new thread as my new EB has arived from the usa (Ohio)
a little bit about me .....(sorry if its boring  )
I was the second owner of the first narrowed t2d EB and loved it, but thought owning a splitty was the ultimate so i bought a fresly imported '60 DD panel, did all the straight axle/narrowing work but decided windows was what i needed with a little un on the way so i sold it and made way for my next project a freshly imported and registered 67 walkthrough bus, i did the work blending the paint, swapping gearboxes and going over the straight axling, converting it to 4'' from 2'', chassis notching, steering box raise etc etc, then funds ran out and i wanted something i could use for work so i sold the bus and bought a 61 bug with a 6'' beam and 1641 for daily use and the scareback for shows. Something was always missing after owning the red bay, i loved the way it drove, handled and i loved the value for money with an EB.
I decided to see if i could buy an EB from the us, import it, and slam it all with the funds from selling the scareback. I found the for sale thread on thesamba.com for this bus and couldnt get my head round how reasonably priced it was, i was looking for more of a project but at that price i couldnt say no. After lots of emails the deal was done with Aaron at widefive.net and the bus was mine 8)
And a massive thanks goes to Tim at roadhouseretro who sorted the shipping 8) through rinkins in the us
Aaron at wide five did the work using all his own products...
this bus has a 4.5'' narrowed linkpin beam
dropped spindles
3.25" rear drop U-Plates
notched front and rear chassis
its currently running a rebuilt 1600 singleport engine but ive sold the 61 bug but kept the 1641 with twin 40's and an engle cam to put in the bus
its 100% og paint and unwelded, it needs 1/4 of a longside sill, and a patch on the n/s cab floor but thats it
full og interior (missing the sliding door panel)
plans in the near future aswell as mot'ing and registering it are,
15'' alloys (either raders or sprints)
front tubs
it needs a front screen seal and trim
and some z hinges putting on the rear seat as i want to keep it looking like a microbus but want to occasionlly sleep in it
anyway enough rambling, heres some photos
my old bay (hads owns it now 8) )
the 60 DD i did
the 67 i did
and back on the topic
the advert photos from which i first saw this bus
