Thanks :D
Got the carbs from a guy on Volkstorq. I had to re-jet as I think they were originally from and Alfa.
I have jetted as follows:

Mains 118
Idle 55
Emulsions 9164.2
28 venturis
Pump jets (50) and air correctors (180) were ok.

I finished fitting them today and gave it a quick test. It was idling at about 2000 revs :msn4: Sounded sweet tho :D
Here's a short video. You will notice I have no alternator belt so I kept it runninig for a short time.
I need to do a proper tuning job.

This is how I got the Dynamo nut off. Plenty of jizum and a sharp tap with a rubber mallet sorted it pretty quickly :)

hi there loving your patina what is "jizum" cant find it on ebay thx dude

OMG! She flies man! I realised I connected the right carb linkage wrong (see vid) and also the idle screws were open alot.
Adjusted up now and idling really nice.
I took her for a spin and, woo whoo, does she fly?! 70 mph effortlessly. I forgot that I no longer have servo assisted brakes
Still no charge from the alternater :msn4: investigate more tomorrow.

Nice one, my mates got a set of twin carbs for sale :D

I think you just made me buy them!!!

Seriously Rich, get those carbs on, you won't regret it! (as long as they are good 'uns)
I have done alot of research on the set-up and it has paid off :D 40 drla dells all the way 8)
I know some people have not had good results with twin set ups, but read aircooled.net.
The advice is priceless 8)

I hear MPG goes up too! That's what I tell the missus. In 2051 they will have paid for themselves :msn4:

Cheers Bark for the advice but I just forked out for my new interior so maybe in a couple of months il have em!!
Iv posted pics of new interior i think it looks smart :D

Just needs finishing properly now

Hi,
looks like all the hard lowering work is done, the chassis looks solid but the floors have rusted out probably due to water sitting inside when it was parked up. But condition is not good this vehicle see all pictures.

The hard work was done by PO Gregg. still could do with notching rear chassis and a narrowed linkpin beam. half shafts rub on the chassis and the tyres scrub on the wheel arches
I like it, tho it would roll better with that work done. I can only really get a couple of people in before she's scraping down the road

Need to get it back to this and get some adjustable spring plates on.

And then swap the front beam over to a linkpin. This is Gregg's handy work.

I'm just gonna roll as is for the mo as I have other stuff in the pipeline :D
