The ferry is around £30 at the moment and the tickets for the whole weekend is around 25euros  :D

Budel is one of the best shows in Europe :!: :!: :!:
And its got a very large swapmeet area.... if you can't find your part here it probably doesn't exist

I quite fancy this. We have booked Ninove, and would like to make an effort to get to as many shows in Europe as possible.

I think it's also quicker to get to these shows for us (living in Norfolk), than it is to get to Shropshire etc :D

Yep, I'm hoping to go to this too, can't commit just yet as only just persuaded the girlfriend that Ninove is a good idea!

sounds good we are really interested in this one and are looking to do some shows in europe.

Cool :D and i'm sure guys you won't regret it ;)

Hmmmm tempted with this one, especially as there is no Hessisch/Bad Camberg/ EBI next year.

Have to get in to Europe in the bus at least three times next year ;)

Have been trying the link on Marchers' post but just get 'webpage cannot be found', can anyone help please? Am currently working with a couple of 'cloggies', in fact meeting up inless than an hour for a beer up here in Scarborough!!! Was hoping to know more of the location, they may not know of Budel so as to get some idea of travelling times etc from my Dutch friends, would be handy to know other place names they may recognise.

try this one pete

Thanks fellas, have got on the site now. Having to navigate it in Dutch, the translated version does not seem to work! However, the site routeplanner says 391 miles, 6hrs 55mins using the Dover/Calais crossing. Looks like Norfolk Line Dover/Dunkirk is favourite and kip at the terminal to break the journey up as we did for EBI-3. Just got to book it now!

Spent ages typing a response, only to lose the wi-fi connection here in the hotel! Anyhow, my Dutch friend Arie had checked on some mileages to Budel using the Hull/Rotterdam and Harwich/Hook of Holland crossings. They use Hull, and yes it means less driving, 220/250 miles opposed to 390 going via Dover. Thing is, their route (which the firm pays for) is a minimum of £220 opposed to the £37, yes a meagre £37 quid, I have just payed Norfolk Line for a RETURN crossing on the Dover/Dunkirk route!! I appreciate there is extra cost for fuel with having to drive 300 miles further (about £60?) but that is still at least £120 less and you get to drive 'sur le continent' a bit more, has to be a good thing!!!
Not sure if the price is down to booking so far in advance, but anyway, if you are planning on going there is a very cost efficient route available. Go for it!!
