Can anybody tell me what this hose is for please?

Hi

Well, the engine is in and we've got to the 'connect it all back up to make it work' stage.
The whole "there are just 4 bolts holding it in' line is wearing a bit thin now as it turns out it's a bit more tricky than that when you're relying on dodgy Haynes manual pics :roll:
Anyhoo, I'm sure we'll get there...eventually :)
There is this odd little hose located coming through the left hand side wall of the engine bay and it goes all the way back through under the main belly pan and then I'm not sure where.
We did wonder if it was something to do with the servo assisted brakes... :?:

If anyone can tell me what it is that would be great and then maybe we'll be able to work out what to do with it next...ha!

servo vacuum pipe for the brakes. connects to the inlet manifold
