work, the garage, or the doghouse!!!
I need to replace all top hat and I sections in my '69 Danbury.
Where is the best place to get these sections from?
I had been told to try Autocraft, but they only do split ones,
how much different are these to Early bay ones?

As this van is to be a keeper I want to use the best I can get
however I dont wanna spend forever looking for NOS!
It isnt gonna be a show van, just a tidy useable camper, so
I'm not too concerned about it being 100% but I would like
the panels to fit well.

I think you'll find split ones are the same dimensions, but sturdier steel. I use split top-hats for bay repairs for this reason, but I couldn't be sure the lengths would be right for a whole one. Give Schofields a ring and check, they will know (and sell you them too.:) ).

to be honest, with those sections, the Klokkenholm parts you get on justkampers, gsf and the like are perfectly useable. you have to shorten the top hat sections if you're putting them up front- as the sliding door track makes it narrower- but they're so simple to make not even those guys can get them wrong. i've got a klokker up front, and a rear top hat from ozziedog's back garden. both are fine :D

hell you could make the top hats yourself. just bash 2mm around a 1.5"bit of timber and bobs your uncle!
