Crewcab advice

Hi, I am looking to expand the family VW fleet! We have had 71 devon, since 1999, with a growing family we also bought a '72 eriba familia for camping, which suits the missus, me and 4 boys superbly!
We are now looking for another type 2 as a day van, and thinking crewcab is the way forward. However I haven't actually sat in the back of one! How much space is there? Can I get 4 growing boys in the bench seats in the front and back?
Appreciate any advice / experiences of family life with a crewey!

You get a single seat for the driver and a double seat up front and then a full width bench in the rear which easily seats 3.

Plenty of space in the back of a crew cab for 3, and in theory 3 up front as well. Only drawback is that though I have 6 seat belts fitted, the two middle ones are lap belts so perhaps not everyone's cup of tea in this day and age. Prob not that comfortable/practical to transport 6 people, but 5 is fine (incl driver).

There is also a huge amount of storage space underneath the rear bench seat, as well as all the space in the load bed.

If you are ever in the Hants area, (Winchester), you are more than welcome to come and have a nose around mine sometime. Failing that, there a few advertised on The Samba, some with interior shots.

Reluctantly selling my crewcab due to a new business venture. Sept 1967 so one of the earliest around. Very solid underneath and just been treated to keep it that way.

I have owned since it was shipped into the UK around 3 years ago. Had a reconned engine fitted, new front panel, wheels, brake lines, sills, battery, seals, painted etc. Work carried out by Midland Painteerks and Johnson Autoworks so very good standard.

6 seater with special harnesses shipped in from the states for the two centre seats as didn't want our kids with just lap belts.

12 months Mot.
