disc brakes 1970?

im working on a 1970 (built on Tuesday, 31 March 1970 according to mplate de-code). thing is it has disc brakes on the front? the bus is standard with small 5 on the back too. i thought disc were not available till 1971? has anyone else come across this, thanks.

My mates 69 has them, but they will have been swapped at some point in the past by someone who wanted better braking.

Imagine going to the scrapyard in the 80's and getting a full brake system upgrade for say, £20? People didnt care about the wrong wheels back then

As Clem has said probably retro fitted but could be 71/72's or late. Disc Brakes officially came in from August 70 at the start of the 71 MY Build at the samw time as narrow 5.

My bus is July 70 and its still wide 5.
