Chaps ..
Asked a part of this question before but ive investigated a little more and here is my questions!
So .. valves, points, timing (with strobe) and carb set .. All good.
When I start bus from cold its a bit lumpy ...ok reved but when revs drop sounds like its running a cylinder down .. does tickover without struggling just a bit lumpy .. From tickover when cold if i raise the revs slightly I can hear a faint knock probably every few seconds but not a specific time period apart. Its only faint but I can hear it with my head in the engine bay .. its more the rough acceleration from tickover .. Ive had a probe in there to listen for a noise but can't locate it anywhere specifically.
Warms up, maybe 2 mins .. runs great, pulls great no real issues.
No negligable end float, doesn't burn oil .. just a slight drip when warm, no signs of overheating ..
Should I be worried about it? .. why would it run a cylinder down from cold (if thats what it is?)
going away in it at the weekend so I guess i'll find out!
