High all, I've just replaced the tailpipe on our 71 bay. As many have found to their cost the way the water is channeled from the roof means that half of the water from the roof runs straight down the rear quarter and on to the exhaust. In 16 years I think this might be the third. So it's not too bad. The last one I bought was less than £15. So the price of this one surprised me. £40 inc fixing kit. The thing is the rusty one had lost it's last bend and other than that wasn't holed. But after fitting the new pipe there seems to me to be slightly more power for pedal at low revs? Is this just wishful thinking or does the slightest bit of back pressure in the exhaust make a noticeable difference? It certainly looks nicer, but even as I was fitting it rain was running from the back quarter to begin the rusting sequence all over again.

Hi,

When it rusts out again, you can buy a stainless end pipe, or the full stock looking system - this is what i have

Cheers,

Mine did but I went from one extreme to the other
I had a monza 4 tip on mine but after turning up at camper jam with half an exhaust!
I brought a full flow system
On fitting I noticed a massive difference in power :D

I just ordered one of those. I'll stick some pics in my gallery when it's fitted.
