Californian (LHD) 70 Deluxe in Savannah Beige bought off Dave Clifford off here. Its never been welded, nor does it need any. Floors are like new. Its fully on the road and ready to go for the summer. Loads of pics here: http://s98.photobucket.com/albums/l252/fredster_photo/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (can someone let me know if that link to pics isn't working please)

Lowered using dropped spindles and just the one adjuster on lower beam as the spindles do the bulk of the lowering. Rides real nice. Ball joints DO NOT bottom out. Tyres occasionally rub on arches but its on stock size wheels and tyres. If you wind the adjuster back to stock position it'll stop the rubbing, obviously, leaving you with a 2.5" drop. Slightly smaller tyres on front would also sort it. I have some 15" splitscreen wheels with lower profile tyres - should get around to putting them on soon.

Plenty of new seals, all from Status incl windscreen, both doors, sliding door, rear hatch, engine hatch. This bus is bone dry!

Engine is a 2080 (78 x 92) Built by me (its what I do!). Spec as follows

AS41 case with dual relief.
78mm counterbalanced crank
CB H-beam 5.5 rods
041 heads, worked
Dellorto DRLA 40's 34 vents w/velocity stacks
Scat Pro 1.25 rockers
Scat C35 cam
30mm Shadek pump
Full flow filter
Twin quiet pack exhaust.

Matched to a 2 litre 6-rib 091 gearbox that works perfectly. Shift is precise. No worrying noises. Goes like the fecking clappers, pulls strong at 70mph!

Bus has original heat exchangers and heating system is 100% effective. Toasty warm right thru winter.

Interior very tidy but pretty basic - small kitchen unit, full width rock and roll bed, nice curtains. Head liner ok but has been repaired a few times. Cab area very good. Very nice seats with only one very small nick, has a 924 rev counter in dash, oil pressure gauge, oil temp gauge and (if I get round to putting it in) a CHT gauge.

Looking for £8k with the big engine and box, or £6k with a (fresh built) 1600 and matching (known good) gearbox. If you want the second option I will need a £1K deposit up front as its a pain in the arse swapping engines and gearboxes only to find buyer has backed out!

Will come with a JK roofrack (2 bow but extended and now actually useful size!), good Kenwood stereo with amp and 6x9's

I'm on 01473 328446 - Bus is in Ipswich (IP9 2SJ)

cheers

Im loving this bus with the stroker. I dont suppose you'd be interested in a px?

Tempting but have to say no I'm afraid. Got a small driveway and three cars, really need to shift one of them. Cheers anyway.

Offers accepted folks - Have lower profile tyres on now, no rubbing tyres anymore.
