fuel filler neck size 55mm? which cap/cork?

Hi Guys

I have a really strong smell of fuel in the bus, im looking to rule out the fuel filler cap as the seal doesn't look great. i have measured the filler neck and its 55mm so im a little confused as it looks like only 70mm cork or caps available.

Where can i find the cork seal or cork and new cap to fit.

The 70mm VW heritage one is for an early so I would assume it fits the original fuel cap. I bought one this week, but will have a look later to see if it fits ok. Just scrape that old sealer off..looks white and powdery from memory.

cheers magoo, think i will order the same, surely mine cant have a different filler on it, it is the original although the cap is very strange

Mine fits ok and it fits on another bay which has a crappy after-market locking fuel cap. They probably did change from year to year but maybe smaller?
