Since fitting my twin kadrons I'm getting fuel in my oil
I've changed the oil twice in 3 weeks reset the mixture on them today as it smelt rich
I ordered a new fuel pump and gonna have a look at the needle jets later on my break(I'm on nights) anything else I should be looking at?

Cheers mark

Ps I'm coming down to the meet in the diner so need to sort it this week if poss

Check the float on the carbs
Sounds like your flooding the pistons and its seeping through the chamber and also check the fuel cut off

Where's the fuel cut off on the kadrons ?

Needle valves that shut off fuel in the top of the float chambers.

Could be your fuel pump is giving too high a pressure for the carbs and is forcing fuel past the needle valves.

Thanks tricky Ive got one of those round regulators ill put it on tomorrow and update later in the evening

Thanks again

Had the same problem with twin ICT's turned out to be a duff mechanical fuel pump dumping fuel into the sump. I have a regulator fitted and as it restricts fuel supply it probably puts addition pressure on the diaphram and causes it to leak especially with these cheap pumps have just got a better one from vw hertiage thats rebuildable so might try that. Having said that just done a 1000miles on a cheap chinese in the last couple of months with no problem but have added additional pump gaskets to reduce the pressure to help.

Cool
I ordered one from c and c so ill fit it when it arrives
Last night I changed the oil and stripped drivers side carb needle jet seemed ok but did find a load of **** in the built in filter ill do the other one tonight.
How many extra gaskets did you put on I've ordered one extra
Should I put the regulator on or leave it?
Thanks dudes

Mark

I would fit the regulator and see what happens i added a couple of gaskets just in case as well just to reduce pressure abit. You could take the fuel pump off and grease atound the pushrod then if that is leaking the grease will wash away and give an indication of the problem.

Definately fit a regulator, Kads need no more than 2psi and a stock pump can kick out way more than that!

Ok I'm off to get some fuel line and clamps
Do I need to fix it to the fan housing or can I leave it loose?

Thanks guys
Mark

Regulator fitted set at 1.5 bar just have to keep an eye on the oil now

Fingers crossed

my friend had the same problem with the kadrons. It turned out it was worn needle valves. Hope this helps.

Thanks dude is there anywhere apart from low bugget I can get the needles as I need them ASAP

Cheers
