Gene Berg locking shifters HAVE ALL BEEN POSTED

If I just go for a non-locking shifter then I guess I'd go for something else, maybe a CSP?

Why? The Berg non-locking shifter is amazing

Price I guess...but then I have no experience of either!

Prowagon are selling non-locking Gene Berg shifters at £275 and Machine7 have CSP for £225.

I've emailed Rob @ Prowagon to see if there is a deal for a group buy.

There was a guy on volkszone selling a brand new csp shifter for £150, think it may have gone - but worth a check

Having bought one with the locker I can honestly say it is worth the extra outlay and the wait you guys are experiencing for the base to be cast.

In my opinion the CSP just does not have the style and history that goes with the GB version. If you really want something different go for the bugtech shifter.

This was the reply from GeneBerg:

They are on order from a new foundry, and he says 5-6 weeks. Machining/polishing will take about 2 weeks. I think you are already on my call-back list, but if you don't hear in about 2 months please check in again.


As soon as I hear anything I'll let you know...I'll chase in a couple of months if I don't hear anything.

brilliant news! im just off the phone from gene berg and was talking to chap called Alaister who is registered on our site. He is going to do us a deal on shifters. there is no problem getting the locking bases and they are in stock at the moment. i need numbers for the order. Does anyone know rob from prowagen? if you could get him to drop me an email.

anyway i will make this a sticky and will need a list of people interested and what code shifter you need ie

Hi Johnny, well done with this. Have added my name above. I'm a little unsure what the rhd polished Berg logo handle looks like as on the Berg site the logo on the polished lhd one is different from the logo on the rhd one. When you are next in touch with Berg could you please ask for a picture of the rhd polished berg logo'd handle so we can be sure it's what we want?
The polished handle with the shaping for your fingers looks fantastic but not sure it justifies the extra $100?

OK i have been talking to Al at Gene Berg, (big thanks to him in advance) and he's keen to give us some discount.

On 8 lockers @ $511.78ea, less 10% ($409.42 (£297), you would be looking at $3684.82 (£2381) total.

I can also do bus (or bug) breathers at 10% discount for your viewers. Various options available. Check out GB 207-BUS/ GB 206-BUS on our site.

The shipping won't be that expensive as they have worked something out for us in advance. Once we have the numbers i can calculate the shipping.

This is an example of what they can do with the T handle if wanted. personally i prefer the polished handle but you get the idea of how it can be engraved.
