Anyone know of something.

Don't like automatic bidding as if done too early the price just seems to go up.
What I'm after is a peice of software that can let me put in my maximum price and just bid at the very last minute if that makes sense without having to be sat in front of the PC.

surely thats what the max bid does...

or are you not wanting to register a bid at all until the last second?

if so

You need a sniper - there's loads of free ones on the net!
I've used Harvex for years now - the license is about $20 for a couple of years, but it never failed me...

No don't want max bid.
I bought a cooler only last week and set my max bid 2 days it before it ended as was going away in the van.
When i got back i found out i'd won the auction at my max bid but when looked at the other bids noticed that one had been retracted that was over mine. I'm certian it was the seller under another name driving the price up to my limit.

happens all the time mate. ive also won loads on porker rims lately that the next day the seller either simply ignores me, or invents the old story that their shed was broken into. or you get the friendly reserve bid so they dont end up selling their item for peanuts. and get their mum to throw a high bid on. there is stuff ive been watching for weeks, sell then sell then sell again. it is very disheartening when you win something youve been after for ages, only to not end up getting it

its called shill bidding ans you should report it right away, as if it happens on more than one of his auctions he can get banned for life.

use auction sniper.... i use it everyday, you can also watch items without the knowledge of the seller too. AS is the best £7 ive spent... and it saved me thousands, (god i sound like an infomercial  )

it wont place the max bid till seconds before the end therefore your still open to shill bidding but it keeps the price low for you. Although so many are using sniping tools now that its impossible to get a bargain anymore.
