Help looking viewing new van questions

I know you've done it already, so this is probably a pointless post - but why send a deposit before you've seen it? I completely understand doing it after viewing if you need a week or so to get cash together - but paying anything upfront in this manner is a classic scam trick. I'm not saying that this isn't a genuine add - but at the end of the day, if it turns out to be a complete shed, you've wasted a trip and might not see your money again.

The long and short as I see it, if a seller wants to make a sale - they should be willing to answer all your questions, and provide photos of whatever you want to see. Anything less, and I'd personally leave it and move on.

I hope this turns out to be ok - just do as much research of what to look for upfront and you won't get stung. There's no harm in walking away as there will be plenty more available around this time of year. Better to be out of pocket for time / deposit than buying something that is a hidden rotbox.

I could be wrong, but i 'think' the guy selling this bus is one of the Scrumpy Dubbers (a Yeovil based VW club). There are a few members of that club on this forum, just do a search on here for Scrumpy Dubbers.

You could ask the early bayers who are members here if they know anything about the bus (or the seller)? There are a few small pics of the bus on the scrumpy dubbers web site.

Right now i have major douts as people from other sites are sayin things like its to cheep and bus looks tired bad paint job
I am now thinking that he has had it a whille let it go down hill and maybe patched a few bits up the sell it a bit cheep
So on short the bus could be on the turn and in a year or two need a full restoration any one agree with my thinking

And i do have a 68 bay that looks nice and more than usable
