I have been having a problem with the van not starting.

I have put another new battery in, but on occasions the van won't fire up. This happens mostly after a long journey of about 3 hours. I have a battery powere gauge and it's noticable that the battery drains down to 9v once I turn the key.

any ideas? Coil maybe? starter motor?

if it drops that low your spark will be very weak, prob why it wont start.give it a good check through, earth leads, batt terminals, charge rate.could be starter tired or bush in bell housing worn/dry.
