The biggest ba***rd job to do on a bus. :evil: :evil: :evil:

Ply headliner has my vote, two different kinds of ply and two weekends. I was like this ------> :x
Now i'm like this --------------->
The insulation went well, 25mm Kingspan (£9 for an 8' x 4' sheet)

Then THE job. Tried 3.6mm ply which snapped at the last possible moment, eg- after spending half a day marking and cutting it :x
3mm Birch ply is the one I needed all along!!

Job done, me very happy.

I would say fitting any part that isn't VAG Quality, in my experience aftermarket exhausts are the worst! I have never had one where every thing lines up nice and goes together easily.

Personally I'd say drilling out spotwelds or grinding down spot welds. Nah, actually, it's deffo drilling out spotwelds. Hate it!

job well done fella.....for me the most hated job is steering box removal...i do it about thirty times a year due to my profession and you`d`ve thought i`d get the hang of it and it`d be easy no? well no i scrape my knuckles every time and evry time i do so i say i`ll get someone else to do it but i never learn and think the next one will be easier :evil:

The dirtyest job I've done so far is CV boots. and the smellyist is gearbox oil change

No, changing he centre outrigger at the front of a 1970 bus, coz its same profile as the early ones. But about 1" 3/4'S SHORTER and nobody makes the panel...so lots of modifing and measuring.. :x :x

Price we pay for elderly bolts, cables, panels etc. Most recent horror was trying to fit a sliding window the morning before setting off for a cross channel ferry- ENORMOUS HORROR CAUSED BY OWN STUPIDITY!
