All ready for top coat 8)

STarted on the fill neck

The rubbers A little bit cracked :? So going to invest in a new filler rubber, but that's easier said than done.. The usual suspects only stock the short one for later buses so going to buy a metre length of Fluoro Carbon lined silicone hose :D

Cleaned rubbed down and etched

And so is the breather loop

Finally feel I'm getting there now, once I've got some top coat on the engine fit is fast lay approaching

Not managed to get much done lately, sons birthday last week and work is busy still :?

Managed to drop the tank in today, and strap it down going to fit the new fuel filler hose tomorrow, re-fit some wiring, and re git my firetec hopefully

Sorry for the quality of the pic, I found out this week my iphone doesn't like being dropped down a toilet

Been a productive day

Welded the the little patch I found under the rear arch, jenolite, etched, tiger sealed then stone chipped the arch, and under both battery trays :D

Then moved onto the tank

Being an early and only short filler hoses being available, I sourced some fluro carbon lined silicone hose, same as shorty, but as I had to buy a minimum length I've got some left over so will be cutting it to length and will be putting them up for sale :D

Also re-fitted my firetec, fitted the breather hoses, re-fitted the rear lights and wiring too, and fitted the tinware seals ready for the engine to go back in 8) only got the fuel hose to pop on

As I settle down for the festivities I thought I'd make a 'to do list' of what jobs I've got to do for my bus to be back on the road, and tick them off as I go :D

to do list said:
Fit fuel hose
Fit fuel pump
Fit new throttle cable
Fit throttle pedal
Fit buttys throttle linkage
Re fit pedal belly pan
Fit engine
Alter and fit wiring to engine, new pump, and gauges
Mount oil filter
Mount oil cooler
Have oil lines made
Fit oil lines
Refurb rear valence
Mount oil temp gauge and wire
Mount aspro's tacho and wire
Finish paint on n/s arch
Re-fit n/s door
Fit all front rubber mats
Run up engine
Wash, polish and take for mot (come back and start next list  )

Proberbly forgot a few bits and will add them, but at least it's quite a small (ish) list, and hopefully I'll knock a few of them off over Xmas :D

Managed to get a few hours down in the man cave this afternoon
Had a really good clean out as it was looking a **** hole  and then got the front end right up in the air, to change the throttle cable, refit the pedal pan cover and fit my buttys kit,

But I also found this :?

8DF8D64C-036F-4733-B938-27E45AB02C9F.jpg

A broken steering damper :( wondered how I hadn't noticed it whilst driving, removed it go find strap marks in the muck on it, so looks like the **** of a recovery truck driver had put the strap round it when he winched me on the tow truck back in July :( ****, so another thing added go the list
One step forward 2 back ......
