Child labour is still alive in the UK

Went to the Donny show yesterday and thought it was very small an quite (although entrance fee was cheap).
My wife spent £65 on a bloody ring
I got nothing (oh - had a hog roast sarny which was nice )

Nice and quiet is how I like it Andy the wife can't bankrupt me :lol: the kids were happy their favourite bouncy castle man was there, must have spent a small fortune with him this year :roll: and I got nothing again too I went fore armed re dy to buy some stuff off volks heaven but he didn't have anything I needed did notice he was selling an early mustache bar for £170 though :shock:

Time to start the disc conversion...


Popped the wheels off and wd40'd all the nuts and bolts, brake linen etc last night

Then earlier started to strip down :mrgreen:

Looks like they're the original b/j's so whilst it's in bits time to change them as there's some vert play in them

Far as I've got as I've now ordered new b/j's

Once the discs are on then onto sorting the remote oil cooler :mrgreen:

Well this ended up turning into a long winded process :roll: got my bj's delivered end of last week, then nipped down to my mates garage to press them out/in ..... No joy 15 ton press, heat and shock treatment and still wouldn't move, so nipped them up to deadubs in riddings Monday afternoon, picked them back up wed morning all done :mrgreen:

Cleaned up the spindles and anti roll bar

And got them all painted today ready to start putting it all back together :lol:

Hopefully have an hour this week end to put some of it back together :mrgreen:

Just popped the arms back on 8) had to use a quick clamp to push the last bit to compress the tube seal a bit so the dimple lines up :mrgreen:

Finally got round to going over to the jubilee garage bar in Bourne yesterday 8) 8)


Every nook and cranny is filled with all old signage, car stuff and everything

Been a while since I've done anything, infact just looked and it's 6 weeks since I stepped through the door :lol:


Had a few hours this afternoon putting stuff back together for my disc conversion, next Saturday should crack it 8)


Re fitted spindles connected shocks, steering links, and made a start on the ns disk set :mrgreen: (very theraputic squeezing grease into new bearings :msn4: ) just got the caliper to fit then Ono the o/s

Think this is turning into the longest disc conversion in history :lol:

Work has been stupidly busy so only a bit more but managed to get it done bar removing the bits from the mc and bleeding up the brakes 8)

Caliper and hose on the other side

Then popped a wheel on to find out the wheel nuts heritage said were right are wrong bugger they bottom out and the pitch looks wrong so the wheel is still slightly loose

I'll give Alex a ring on Monday and see what's what, I asked which ones I need for steels with the csp but these are all wrong
