Good work on the deluxe trim!

I have a couple of questions, following your recent posts if thats ok.

I want to fit some heating as well, and am reluctant to cut my OG panel so I like the idea of putting the vents behind the seat box door. So I was wondering are you still able to use the door on the rock and roll bed box with the propex vents /zig unit or do you have to remove the panel with these fittings on first to put the door back on?

Secondly, are you replacing your recently fitted curtains with the new ones in the boxes?!! :?

If you recess the panel and router or cut out a gap for the door to close thats fine. I was going to take mine off but this is what I will be doing.. Stealth like!
As for the curtains, thay are staying, the one in the box was a rare OG front screen (New Old stock) purchased off Faux on here.
They rarely become availible so I thought id see it off.... My misses will go up the wall if she finds out!!
I will be using it... may be, just nice to have really as there can't be many left in a box unused. :mrgreen:

thanks for the reply. Yes, I had thought that the panel holding the vents/ zig unit would have to be recessed so that the door fits. I will be interested to see how you get on with this as I will be doing the same thing this year.

As for the curtains, maybe your mrs won't mind if its just for the front window! :lol:

Cant recommend this stuff enough!

Belgom Aluminium and metal polish.
It polishes and protects. I use it on my polished alloy wheels on my VW passat, and it keeps them protected from the dreaded brake dust and salt etc.
It takes some applying ie. elbow grease required! but it lasts quite well once applied.

What's the deal with the boom box, simply a buddy box with a sub in it or will it be more than that?

The 'Boombox' im making is just a sub box, I was going to put the head unit in it too but I dont think it would have worked proper.
I might fit a cradle for an Ipod though.
Not to sure about cup holders yet!! :shock: Mmm that might be funny!?! :shock:

Going to sell the Alpine head unit to pay for an Amp and jack lead. 4 channel 2 bridged for sub and 2 running mids and tweets should be ok. (400)watt me thinks.


If I run out of time I will purchase two more of these... they are fantastic. 8)

Bit more on propex, fitted like a bag'O'***** so made up a plate the screwed it to that.
All plumbed in now electrics.

The out to stretch ler legs and put some pressure in the tyres... they were down to 1.7 bar!! Mmm heavy steering!!
