Hi,

seen plenty of awnings for sale from various suppliers, but all of them seem to be the dome tent style awning, which is just looks like a tent attached to the side of the van.

seen quite a few of them on splitties, you know the ones, they are usually two colour stripey affair, sometimes open one end, some times all open just providing an over head shade.

just wondered if anyones makes a retro style awning for the bay, or one that will fit on a bay? and also where do you get them from?

the dome tent style ones are cool and practical, but i really would like something retro looking. any help with links, websites, recomendations would be cool.

cheers

Austin

I had this one made back in 1994 by Harrison Awnings in Bristol.

Don't know if they're still about, all the weblinks don't seem to work. I'll take a drive by tomorrow to see if they're still there.

Proud to Pop are making sun canopies for bays if thats any good? :msn4: Try here http://www.proudtopop.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

cheers for the help guys, like the look of the proud and pop ones, and those harrison ones in bristol would be cool if they could make them stripey like the splitty westy ones.

keep em coming!

We bought ours off Ebay. Its a genuine Westy one for a T25, it cost £50 and looks more modern than many of the traditional ones. Not a great picture but you get the idea.
