Just make sure its a UK spec as otherwise you'll be talking to yourself and no one else, old school US ones were made illegal in the late 70's early 80's.

one nine for a rig check!

Got my old CB in a box in my garage somewhere - had it installed in a mini but never actually used it  - you've inspired me as I'd forgotten about that......happy days in my youth playing CB fox n hounds in my mates bedford rascal

You used to need a license didn't you as well? Think they scrapped that - mine's a midland with an EU button which I think is another 40 channels?

CB's are great when running in convoy, Pete B (well Aaron his lad) made great use of it when we travelled in convoy to EBI in 2009, well worth fitting IMHO

My dads had 1 for about 20 years (he's a lorry driver) but gotto admit if going on a convoy with a group it would certainly be easier than using mobiles :D

I fitted one in my van last year, but i dont know any one who has one so i cant test it lol

still got my midland fm and mag mount, its been aligned (adjusted to make 4watts,legal limit)and got power mic as well, roger that and give it a big 10/4 good buddey ;)

Fitted my old CB in the van last year, not spoken to anyone yet but found it useful when hit trafic jam on motorway. Listening to the truckers found out what had happened and where. Also listening to the women talking to them, strange !. :?

Funny that cause last time mine was used it was in a mini in the early 90s  bought it 2nd hand back then...

All those with a CB we gonna have to have a drive out for testing 8)

kick back your handle and your twenty I think was tell me your name and your location my cousin had one.

two i remember and i think they are correct

Kojak with a kodak = police radar speed check

break a few bottles = go for a beer

I think we need to post some citizen band lingo...........

'On the side' i seem to remeber as people holding a convo would get in a piss if you cut in without saying this phrase first.

I`ve got one in my Westy, but hav`nt wired it up yet.
Will have to get it up and running,
could be good for a laugh :D
Jam sandwich ;)
Over and out Paul
