Old sunroof cables

Hi all
I have been trying to source cables for my sunroof here is South Africa, but can't even find any broken ones. With the exchange rate it is too expensive for me to import them, so was wondering if any one have some old, broken ones that they could possible part with. If I can get the lifting mechanism, I could see if somebody could make me the cable up. I know it's a stab in the dark, but any help will be appreciated.

have you tried buying direct from EIS in the states, that's where I got mine, and even with import to the UK wored out cheaper than getting them from here.
