THAT'S 'HAND'Y, or should I say 'Andy'

Russ, Whack us a VW badge on the front & I'm happy
Have a good Christmas,
Regards Andy

After having a ****** christmas with the flu and putting my back out over new year {dont ask me how .. just use you imagination    } I have now been back at work for a couple of days.

The structure of the front of the bay has now been moved about and positioned where we want it with the help of jacks, ratchet straps, weights and a portapower...and loads of measuring
We are now happy with where everything fits and have managed to fit the door on the drivers side, which when fitted gives the correct gaps around the door and opens and closes as it should.
The passenger door had popped out at the top/front in the collision and is still having work done on the A-post to rectify the problem

So..we then removed the remainder of the drivers side wheel arch and found a hole that needs work on the B-post. We then removed the inner tub and test fitted the new panels

We all went to see Old Poe today a full 6 hour round trip  We spent a couple of hours in The Justdubz workshop with the owner Russell Reed.
I'm really pleased with how straight she looks & Russ has explained different aspects of the job which took a lot of time, but eventually after lots of perseverance he got all lined up nicely.

Lots of grips holding the outer panel in place whilst everything is lined up

The cab area has bracing bars tacked in again whilst panels were aligned

Heres me with my long lost O'neil flip flop that was trapped in the mangled pedals
Russ managed to carefully remove it without to much damage. A bit of superglue will be required
Keep your eyes peeled for these on my feet in Cornwall this summer. ;)

We have been cleaning and preparing the inner front panels for a coat of paint before we started to fit the outer front panel.

The inner face of the outer front panel is also being painted before we fit it..{those pics will follow}

Hello Joanne, hope you & steve are well.
I've sent my recept you gave me (when I bought them) for the covers to the insurance company. The front 2 seats have a couple of marks on which I'll have to have a closer look at, the cushions in the rear & the curtains got bits of egg smashed on them so I'm going to see what the insurance pay on them & hopefully I'll be in touch.
Many thanks Andy
