This may or may not sound daft and due to the fact my mechanical knowledge if poor I thought I better ask the question.

When my van has the rear end jacked up in the air my rear tyres are turning, she just wants to drive off. Is this normal or do I need to be concerned?

Cheers in advance.

Perfectly normal! If you dip the clutch, the wheels should stop turning. With the clutch engaged, there is rotation being introduced to the gearbox and with oil sloshing about and shafts turning, it's enough to turn the back wheels. It's also a good sign that your rear brakes aren't binding up at all!

Awesome, cheers. It is running a dream and just wanted to change the exhaust, so as it was in the air I fired her up to check for leaks and noticed the wheel turning in neutral , thought I better ask the question.

Cheers again.

Paul.
