Shocks

Went to fit my new shocks on the front of my 69 Cali westy
Seems the new shocks I've got are a different size
Bottom of ones fitted are 30mm accross the new ones are 40mm
Do u think the bus had the incorrect ones originally
The bolt isn't long enough to fit a nut once the new shock is fitted.

Have I been supplied the wrong shocks ( maybe rear ) ?

Can anyone tell me the correct ones I need which have a narrower bottom fixing point width

Don't supoz anyone would b so kind as to mesure there front ones?

Hi Mate just been in the garage and check mine there around 30mm reckon you have been giving wrong ones !

I was beginning to think I was going mad!
I wonder if the shocks I've got are boxed up as fronts but are actually rear?
