Went for nose at the 'shop today, not alot moved on since last time, but the engine is now together awaiting the carbs (tomorrow), its put up a fight but now settled down, needed the case line boring after one of the main bearings wouldnt sit quite right, about half a Thou out , anyhow how all sorted now and looking quality.

'box sat waiting for its new home....

Noticed im gonna have to take the windscreen out and look at a small repair as a spot of rust is just bubbling thru, now im a bodywork expert ill take that job on myself ;)

Think im gonna sell the 14" Rozzers, wanna run with the steels this year (i think), I have a set of ratty SA 15s on the garage wall (looking cool) but gonna save them for next year

Having seen the belly pans on Easy's bus today, JK ones i think, recon im gonna get a set and weld some captive nuts on the chassis and bolt them on, gotta be worth it ide say.

Nice one Just 8) the pans look ace dont they, and that box thats lying about, feel free to pop it into that bus on the ramps ;)

Bit of engine **** is in order, the Dels look sweet with the CB linkage. Alternator conversion on next. Notice doghouse fan housing fitted from a TP for extra cooling.

Last few bits being bolted on this avo then settled into its new home next week for testing.........

'box is out, so Jason wire-brushed and undersealed the area above and the chassis legs that were difficult to get at with the box in.

The the drive shafts out for new boots, check, and re-grease.

Thanks fellas, it does look to good to go in the van

Been busy again today preping the front bumper for paint, armed with the experiance from the rear one i quite injoyed it, burnt the fook outta my back great day for painting

Had to grind off the bolts for the steps as expected, but didnt realise how thick the numerous layers of paint were, had some kinda black undercoat at one stage that didnt sand very well so out with the Nitromors 8) It took some cleaning up, tho was all just surface rust, so went ove the back with some Krust,

There was a bit of damage that was hiding behind the numberplate that needed attention, infact spend most of the afternoon getting it right, but now in primer ready for some white in the morning.....painting is so much easier when its hot

Just re-read this whole thread  (what else is there to do when at work on a Sunday morning)
When is the red9 wishbone coming?
Hows the engine going?

Great work with the work in the engine bay (plus the engine is looking sweet 8) )

What colour are you planning for the bumpers ??

I cant take the credit for the engine or engine bay im afraid, thats down to Jason at Interpro who is busy as(!) hence mine taking a little longer.......but im not in a hurry as im getting bumpers and wheels done ready to go on, so suits me atm.

The bumpers are a Carplan White-17, its not too white yet not to yellowy (i tried a few  )

Had a call from the engine shop today and she lives :D Jason got the engine and box in and took her out for a 20mile run, says it great bearing in mind the carbs are straight out the box, also the gearbox is perfect and the gearchange spot on, he said its just like driving a new bus, tho he did point out he has never driven a new bay

Cant pick her up cause of work comitments till Wednesday week, just before VanWest 8)
