As a counter balance to "the worst car" thread, how about posting up the car/s you liked best.

I dont mean the Aston/Ferrari/Rolls/Porsche etc. that you once had a go in - Its more interesting to hear about the everyday cars.

I still like my 1988 Audi 90, nice drive, not bad on fuel 30-35mpg and outstandingly reliable. In the last 12 years I have only replaced the front shock absorbers, the rear wheel bearings and the clutch master cylinder. Even the exhaust is still the original and there isnt a speck of rust on the car ( admittedly the climate here is kinder than the UK and the body is galvanised).

I was impressed with a Ford Focus and a Mondeo, though I didnt own them so cant say much about reliability.

Probably my current daily, an MG ZT-T CDTi.

Big boot, very quick (now ;) ) and so far reliable and economical. It is incredibly comfortable to drive and eats up the miles with no effort.

Before this one I had a BMW 325TD which I thought was the best I'd had at the time, handled brilliantly and the 6 cylinder engine was really smooth.

Probs be my old 911

Seat Toledo Mk2 excellent motorway eater and loved the twisty suff cavanous boot.....

Pity some Kentish tit in France came round a blind bend on the wrong side (thought he was still on the dual carriageway), the smell of booze from my stricken motor was interesting to explain to the gendarmerie, as was the fact I ended up on the wrong side of the road....

Mind numbingly boring I know but our mk4 Golf SE Tdi estate takes some beating. Goes like stink and averages about 55mpg. Love it :D ! Nice contrast to the bus.

That'll be my old car Smart Roadster Lite. 600cc of turbo charged fun, comfy, quick, amazing handling and about 55mpg.

I've had it since 2003 and can't really think of anything else I'd rather drive within a similar price range .... the drive is so good. i did actually have a brand new elise a couple of years ago as a courtesy car while mine was in getting fixed after an accident .... i thought i'd dread getting mine back after 4 weeks with a brand new one but i didn't. it was great getting it back!

And my absolute fav driving car!!!!! Should never have sold it :( :(

My Clio V6, seat of your pants, **** yourself when its wet, avoid all roundabouts fun. I had to get rid due the amount of points i accumulated in 6 months. I had to park in two spaces because of the extra 6 inches each side

My Mazda 323F, the old one with the pop-up headlights, the lights on reduced top speed by 5mph!!
Lovely to drive 1.6 twin choke carb, not very fast but handled like a dream.
My 2.5i 5cylinder petrol T4 caravelle,

owned it for 6 yrs, had a 2.5" straight thru jetex exhaust and no cat, sounded lovely and was suprisingly fast for a big van, just wish I had the money to fit a 20v head and big turbo :) the crank and block were capable of handling upto 500 bhp  although I'd have no chance of put down the power.

I owned one of these for a few years it was 1980 0n a W reg no ordinary 99 Turbo it had water injection just means you can turn the boost up on the turbo it kicked out 175 BHP massive for the day, just loved driving it, good brakes too.
So it had to go not long after my first was born, replaced it with a 5 door Golf GTI 8V it was a bit of a come down to be honest. :(

best car i have driven is my karmann ghia, fast as fook, handles ****, but makes your willy twitch when your going sideways at 90mph. sooo much fun.

an 86 is defo worth a drive tho, handle really well even when totally stock as this one is... (apart from cage and saftey gear)

the old ibiza for what it was was brilliant, (bearing in mind i like a daily that i can drive like i stole it) 1.4 petrol, plenty of go, the gear shift is one of the best iv felt, its a nice super light action with a good satisfying clunk into gear. the steering was nice and responsive at low speed and had just enough give to not be twitchy but still be right on the mark bombing round country lanes. and it took a lot to make it slide, trust me i pushed it hard.
its now doing service in the hands of an equally mental driver round Bradford.

obviously I'm biased but i love my rocco. I actually enjoy the drive to work because i can stick everything in sport and take the scenic route (or i could before my hours changed on a sunday). the multimedia touch screen radio is great, until you get an iPod like mine and try and scroll through 120Gb of music on the go. I couldn't get to grips with the sport setting on the DSG for a while, but when i realised that rather than chucking at corners, taking the tightest smoothest line possible and powering out of the bend gave me tingles on a nice road.
hardly even bother with the paddle shift.

Ems' mum lives in Wales and i loved the run down Worcester and Hay-on-Wye in the seat, but i got repeatedly told to slow down and stop having too much fun when we took the rocco.

My Mk5 GTI was my best everyday drive - loved it but it had to go so i had funds for the Camper resto

The ultimate modern day getaway car  .
Had the pleasure of using an 11 plate one of these recently and when the red mist comes theres nothing better.

My current daily is probably the nicest car i have had for everyday driving, its a 53 plate passat estate TDI sport 130, goes like a rocket, handles very well for a big heavy estate.

Best car i have driven though was the AUDI RS4, had a plop round silverstone in one a few years ago
