Wow the hoops you have to jump through! i thought bringing a bus in Canada was difficult, sounds it's like gambling for you guys.

Btw the van looks great, how are the front brakes?

It is such a pain having to wait for these things when they are out of your hands. Won't be long now and you will be able to relax on your holiday. Keep up the good work and look forward to seeing it in the flesh at Van Fest and I'm sure there will be more pics to come. :D
 
well the DVLA came thru in time :mrgreen:

few things to do before i leave tommorow;

bumpers come back from paint tommorow afternoon
need to check a dodgy rear wheel noise :!:

pack up all my stuff, and get ice for the ice box :mrgreen:

then the adventure begins :mrgreen:


my 1914 and 2ltr box will be spending action in my gagarge tho :cry:

got my tracking done, and the bus packed, and fueled

now got a collapsed rear wheel bearing, and my bumpers aint ready from paint yet :evil:

so gonna get the rear wheel bearing fixed and head down late tonite :mrgreen:

bumperless tho :mrgreen:
 
quick update................been to busy driving it :mrgreen:

fixed the dodgy rear wheel bearing and made VW Action..............just, Vanfest is off as my engine isnt ready yet

got my new plates and bumpers on today, re bleed the front brakes, and had a damn good drive

New chrome tacho, OG radio polished up, CD/MP3 in glove box, Berg shifter and gauges in for the new motor

Zig unit, outlets for eberspacher, 240v sockets for electric hookup, 12v socket and voltage monitor for leisure battery and starting battery, need to make a new panel, as the painted one i made is hideous :mrgreen:

looks really homely, i could picture myself in it with the feet up watching the 7" tv and supping a beverage, alcoholic ofcourse :wink: , nice!
 
Hi!

Really liking your electrics and heater install - wondered if you had the same hinges on the door so you could slide the door off so it doesn't get under your feet? I was thinking of doing a install like this myself - some day.
