I THINK i know what you're talking about- moving from a dizzy without vac to one with?
the vacuum advance port is on the left of the carb as you look at it, pointing straight to the left.
make sure you either use the correct vacuum pipe, or at least bring some hose upwards before going down to the carb, or you'll get fuel vapour down the tube and into the vacuum canister.
