Hi

Does anyone know where I would be able to source white bumpers for my bay (front and rear)?

I've been trawling all the usual sites but all I can find are chrome or steel (some at ridiculous prices!)

I did hear that there are alternatives to the standard metal ones, is this correct? would anyone have any recommendations?

I have a front bumper with steps. £150. Need some panel beating.

Thanks, mine are in a similar condition to those already!

I re-painted the front of mine with a can. Came out really well. If you have a few dents in them they can be knocked out as the metal is nice and thick and workable.

If not people have used the fibreglass new ones you can get.

Do you know where I could get the fibreglass ones?

I've tried searching online but my searching skills obviously leave something to be desired

If yours are in the same condition as the ones above, I'd just de-rust them and paint 'em. I don't think you'll find a steel one that's ready painted.

The company is NO MORE RUSTY BITS.... I had them on a previous bus and thought they were very good

Try Rackhams VW, they are in Ipswich, their user name is ~ Rackhams Ipswich ~ on here, or Google them, they sell refurbed original VW bumpers painted in the correct colour.

Thanks for all the advice everyone

I'm definitely going to look at the fibreglass bumpers, they sound like they would be easier to fit and easier to look after!

Had the fibreglass ones on my last bus and they were really good and to be honest they are cheap and dont need painting. They are made out of marine grade gel coat and fibreglass as the guy that does them runs a boatyard in Southampton from memory,

Riviera do them as well:

:?: How do you run a boat yard from memory..................................anyhow, where's memory, is it by the coast???
