Thanks Matt, your thread with all the adventures in it is great to read, you are doing a good job on your Westy.

This weekend i did one of the difficult jobs  the connection between the T25 bevelbox and the rack-and-pinion.
The steering components are from http://www.borgeson.com) and contains 3/4inch thick steering-shafts and special u-joints with uni-ball to control hight and angle.

Next step is to clean-up the welds and painted it all.
Ordered a set of slamwerks adjustable plates so my notching will be used
Can’t wait to drive here again :msn4:

Blimey, the route the steering components have to take looks very scary

Looks very cool though 8)

Ya from left to right of the car  , scary 8) well the u-joint are designed to do this, special "hotrod" stuff from the usa, very strong. The steering is superb can move it without force and by hand cant wait to drive her.......

This weekend i painted the underside of the van (photo’s will follow), when waiting on parts to start the buildup i made a start with some interior modifications.

Last holiday (weddingtrip to Norway :D ) it becomes clear to us that making coffee or preparing al little meal in the van is the way to go when it rains! So i bought a universal top with a sink and two gas-burners, a original Westy table top and made them fit together :D New style meets old style :msn4:

Next modification will be a drawer under the sink.

With a working fridge on gas ( also 12v + 220v) and the two gasburners-stove a small bleu campinggaz bottle is not enough (and expensive  ) so i made some room in the Westy buddyseat  with the cushion back on you cant see it.

Next step is to make a exhaust for the fridge, some piping for the gas and the water maintenance ;)

looks clean, great idea. And no gas bottle on the bottom of the bus, so no risk of hitting it when too low ;)

I'll keep these mods in mind when I work on my new westy ;)

The weekend I was busy with work and meeting-up with friends so not to many Westy time...... managed to do some painting.
Next step is making the bracket for the servo-pomp and mounted it all, slam it and test drive it 8)

Hope my slamwerk plates will come soon :msn4:

Greetings mycha

Good work :) Are you going to be running adjustable spring plates and air shocks? I remember a while back you had them on the front, but can't see if you got round to fitting them to the rear as well?

Hey, Yes i've airshock's in front off my van, not at the rear (yet) thinking more off airbags for the rear. I think the shocks are not strong enough for the rear but maybe i will test them 8).

I love this thread, yours is an amazing looking bus full of inspiration. Great mix of OG and modern improvements. Good work!

Today i made the exhaust for the fridge, i used steel tubing witch i’m connecting with a flexible RvS (eberspacher) tube. The steel tube is going through the body. I’m going to paint it white just like the top of the walkthrough ;) I made a new interior-panel to close the gap. Don’t now yet if i paint the outside cap or polish it?

For the power-steering i used a T25 bevelbox, the bevelbox was in the way for my bumper-bracket, i solved that  :

Very busy at the moment to get the Westy ready for EBI4

Rack-and-pinion is under the van, pump test fitted, got some hoses for the pump to the rack (only now is to cut them to length and press on the connections) installed the electra (wires, relays and fuses), find a place for the reservoir 8) , painted the exhaust for the fridge, painted the shorter engine brace etc. etc. Go Go Go Westy to Bug inn
