Single Carb to twin 34 ICT's - been an emotional conversion!

Nice detailed picture.

What is the orange and white ball-type object at the top of the engine bay? :?

As the usual recommendation is to keep the fuel filter out of the engine bay to prevent it splitting and pouring fuel over a hot engine, is there anything special about that one? Is it glass? :?:

Orange ball is a fire suppression system often used in places like Iraq and Afghan - I have personal experience using them and wanted one for my bus, available from eBay

Fuel filter is actually a Malpassi Filter King Fuel Pressure Regulator which incorporates a toughened glass filter - no danger of it rupturing or cracking, probably stronger than all the other components around it!
