Hi people, brain picking time this fine sunday evening... I have the following spec parts (bought in a bundle) with the aim of running a 74mm crank to get a 1904cc engine for my bus... 1) will all this stuff work well together for my application? 2) does anyone know what length rods i will need?

Spec

Twin weber dcnf 42 carbs
As21 case
90.5 barrels and pistons
Empi 40x35.5 single valve spring heads
Scat c35 cam
Scat 1.25 forged rocker arm assy

Thanks
Sam

we built one for our drag beetle .stock size rods but need to be CB (CAN never remember if I or H beam but groves down sides) then no case clearancing needed. don't know about cam,depends on heads,carbs,compresion ect.we ran a webb 93c with 044 cnc heads and 48 idf webers but that's no good in a bus as didn't pull below 3k and reved to 7500 plus----beetle ran 13.3 though.

There's some useful info that may help you here http://www.aircooled.net/1800cc-vw-engine-no-machine-combo/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Either 5.4 or 5.5's should be fine. CB uni-tec I beams would be perfect for that, well priced too!

A 5.4 rod will keep it close to stock dimensions which will prevent tinware and engine bay fitting issues
