Thanks everyone
It was straight from the gun, I painted it inside and I forgot to say I used standard 2k (Ppg brand) products nothing fancy for fibreglass, but I used a fast hardener along with a cap-full of accelerator. This means the paint goes off really quick!! I just lashed it on thick and fast!
The thinking was It wouldn't have too much time to eat into the old fibreglass and react.
(side note: I tried the above mixing technique on a whole bus and it turned out rubbish as it dried so quick)
I had the pop-top on it's side, not flat in the photos which made it easier to spray end to end rather than going to the middle like I would a roof so less chance of overspray..... don't know if that makes sense to anyone else?
CANADA
I guess my carb must have iced up and some days she did run a bit rough!! when I took my engine out and detailed it etc.. I noticed the pre-heats weren't even drilled out on my 4-1 exhaust  I think the air in the mountains must be dryer than in the UK. My next Canadian air-cooled will have a thermostat, flaps and a standard exhaust.
Squarebob I'm a bit jealous of your heater, my bus was from the a sunny US state so no extra heater fitted.
Drumheller is a cool spot! when you take your picture pull up in the parking lot, up to the grass and the concrete blocks, then someone will have to lie on the ground to take the photo, I had my Dad laying down there he wasn't impressed, good picture though
