any one using biofuel fuel pipe

hi all is anybody using biofuel fuel pipe. ive been looking at all the horror storys of fuel pipes perishing after 6 or 7 months even though they say its guaranteed for 12 months and dont fancy it happening to me so ive been looking at biofuel fuel pipe as they reckon it dosent perish. is this right, i know its a lot dearer and i dont mind changing it every 12 to 18 months but with the other stuff i'd be paping me pants after 5 months, so is anybody using it and is it as good as they say.

I put some in when I swapped my engine but that was only a few months ago so I can't really offer much feedback. Did it for the same reasons as you, too many stories about perishing pipes

I have been using the standard R9 fuel pipe for the last 3 years - I change all the lines every year as a matter of course!
Not been aware of any noticeable degradation of the hoses after 12 months of use - no cracking/splits or so on!
My bus gets heavy use in the summer months and is parked in the garage over winter (Oct-Apr)

Had my biofuel lines in my van since 2009,

My van has been sat off the road for the last two years and stupidly have just remembered I think I left fuel in it.

I am off to see my van and empty the fuel on Saturday so will be able to tell you for sure.

Have mates with biofuel lines 10 years old still going strong!

Well worth the extra money IMO!

Its a question of how much do you want to spend?

I went a step further than this when I did all the lines for my van, but also spent very close to £1000 on all my fuel, Oil and breather hose, plus all the fittings and a fuel pump.

Yep we now fit biofuel line as standard rather than R9, lots of places to buy, we buy in bulk from Advanced Fluid Solutions who are very good. Make sure you get proper fuel clips to go with it.

We are in the process of putting some kits together at the moment.

After noticing that current and recently manufactured cars did not appear to be going up in flames all over the place, I concluded that the best place to buy some new fuel pipe was from the same place that supplied all the local franchised garages, rather than any "specialist".

That was back in 2006. Obviously I still check the fuel lines regularly but so far they are still good as new.

Alex, which hose from ThinkAuto did you use? I can't see anything referring to Biofuel/ethanol, I can only find R9 or R6 rated hose. I presume you used JIC/AN fittings on your hoses with crimp style fittings?
