Anyone used a plastic fuel tank strainer ,and are they ok

I need a fuel tank strainer and mantel the old type with crush washer but unfortunatly I can only get the plastic type that gsf,just campers etc sell .are these ok as I don't have time to order the other type and don't want to pay the same price of the filter in postage from the usual suspects .

Maybe someone from the forum is putting an order in and could get for you then post it on in a 1st class envelope.

I've found a VeWib one plus seal on Deimos Air cooled site .Good prices to so providing they are the OEM mesh type with crush washer then alls good .I think I will wait till Monday though to call them just incase the picture is not correct like gsf' who show the OEM type but only sell the plastic one .
