Mine are 16 x 7, with 205/55R16's and fit using H&R (25mm if I recall) adapters in the rear. I'll confirm adapter size when I can and add a pic. Tire is close to the springplate so may not clear the adjuster if using some adjustable ones(?) Also, my Westy is a '71 so has a flared wheel well - might be a tighter fit with an earlier bus.

I just double checked adapters and they are 25mm. Here's a pic of the adapter on the scratched-up drum and also a pic of the wheel installed and with the bus in the low-down position from my thread.

Hi bud
Where did you get the adaptors from. I need a set like those that house the nuts flush. (Not letting them protrude..if that makes sense?) For my 356 Chromies.

Thanks
Gary

Hey Gary, nice Westy! -I like Sierra Yellow. My adapters came with the bus so I can't say specifically which retailer they came from. They are H&R which are available through various suppliers, you'll have to search around. Search: H&R wheel spacers (or adapters) 5x112 to 5x130. I know they are kinda expensive, but are hubcentric so the wheel stays perfectly centered. -- Is the center bore diameter of your 356 wheels the same as other Porsches? They are available in various thicknesses to increase track up to 40mm. Depending on the offset you need to acheive, anything more that the 25mm thick ones I have should allow you to "house the nuts flush" as you said.

Hope that helps some, good luck!

Thanks Bob. I'll have a mooch around!

I'm also gonna invest in some teledials as they look so right on your awsome van.

Thanks again.
Gary

How about these adaptors?

I looked at those wiggy earlier today. Not sure if they will house the nut flush.

I like the idea of the hub centric ones as the ones I have are a pain to get on properly.

Cheers

Gary

The previous owner of my bus is a friend and I know he painfully tried a couple of different adapters before he found the right (these) ones. I'll contact him to see if he has anymore info or specific H&R part number. If I find out anything more, I'll post it up here.

pretty sure I have these in 25mm all round - they don't have the centre lip like the HR ones - so fairly convinced. The do allow nuts to be flush and they do not protrude at all...20mm version might though?

cheers

here you go this was my bus last year. 15x6 front and 15x7 rear all et 52.3 so they tuck really nice. i didn't even need to narrow the beam. ran oldspeed spindles with wilwood adapters and 944 hubs and rotor. the rear i just used adapters from wolfgangint.

my van on 16" teledials and 4 pot porsche brakes

Just bumping this as ive bought some teledials!

The rears are 8".    Will I have to convert the hubs to porsche 5x130's to get them on seeing as you can get 7's on with 25mm spacers.

Oh offset is 52.5.

Hi guys,
Have any of you fitted teledials with wide 5 adapters? I am having problems getting the wheels mounting correctly as part of the drum fouls the rear of the wheel. I think my adapters are 25mm+ and my wheels are 15x7 et 52.

I guess the drums or wheels will need machining to fit correctly.

Hopefuly you might be able to see the gap between the adapter and wheel on this picture

in the rear you will have to cut off the 3 little tabs next to the snout on the drum or at least i did on my 70 bus i did a couple years ago a green bus. i also had to make 3 little cuts for those 3 tabs, then the wheel will sit flush. that's with the newer style wide 5 to porsche adapter
