what a dream. to be able to wonder around a place like that. they just dont end up in scrap yards round here as they are too valuble in absolute basket cases.
I like to stop by Chip Foose's shop when were in town to see whats new and cool. It's open to the public from 12-1pm weekdays if you ever want to check it out.
Below is a Impala they have been working on for a while. It's based around a new Corvette with the Impala body on it...huge custom work!
Another custom in for some roof, fender and bumper treatment..
Chip was busy working on a 32 Ford that's been made to look like it was built in the 60's and re choped later. Lot's of custom trick paint details to age and weather the paint.
Here he's painting then quickly heating the paint to give it an aged cracked look.
Another project was on the frame table getting mocked up, here's what it will look like.
Chip was nice enough to take me over to the new shop and offices that will be open in a few weeks...
This Vintage Midget is above the front door as you walk into the show room
and his car on display..
Now back to the VW's
Every morning we would be up early and there would be Bay's at the beach (owners having coffee or surfing) . This day there was two already there when we showed up.. Then another two down the way and a Thing... cool!
Ok, Havent had a lot of time to load pics this weekend but here are a few more..
A couple buses from Nicks as well as some on the streets around So Cal and a few from the Classic.
