Finally my wife and I have found a van. Ozziedog :lol: :lol: 8) 8) :shock: :shock:
and Sparkywig and anybody else that we have forgotten, a HHuUGGEE Thank You for all the guidance and help.
Boris arrived home on Saturday night from Kent after a ten hour drive. All of us shattered but Boris, who, I am sure could have kept going all night. Kent to Somerset via the coastal route.
Not wanting to try the highways on my first outing we stayed far away from scary things like the M25. Boris did not burp, fart or even so much as hiccup.
No radio so now I am so in tune with the engine noise it's like listening to music.

Again thanks to all and when I get the hang of this " botophuket " thing I will start a thread in the right place when it comes to repairs ,upgrades and the like.
Stupid questions will abound, I have a copy of Bently's and John Muirs books so hope fully not to many.

This forum is the best .

I look at yours all shiney an everythin......then I look at mine, in patchy primer, no interior, engine stripped down and no gearbox fitted and I think.....Sigh Why didn't I buy one with little need doing...DOH!

A huge thank you to all for the great comments.
We are pretty chuffed with what we found.
As far as the helpers are concerned they did warn me about getting a pretty one.
Fortunately it comes with photographic evidence of the resto, which did help.
Now it is down to the hard and fun part.
