Me too - when the cat's out the bag, you're going to slap your forehead Homer style. I'm so close to spilling the beans - my life has got too complicated, and though I like this particular complication it's one I can avoid unlike the others.

Sparky's sussed it but sworn to secrecy so don't bug him.

See - it's obvious - must be. Then again he lives in those wheel arches...

I'm going to tell - just not yet. ;) Wouldn't be fair if you get to try it first and I've only covered half my drivers seat so you'll have to wait.

I'll just describe vaguely and see what you all come up with?

Thought someone might have something to say, but as a whole weekend's passed without comment, I've removed the info.

Thanks for your interest.

it is [or was ] an elegant solution, just for me at least I'll be using the idea for my scratch built beam that has 10mm flat end plates, the next great thing is how to narrow an ARB without welding.....

saw a neat thing on WW the top top adjuster was on the front - so it doesn't foul the shift rod.

Thought it was a good solution to the problem ,I would have thought that a simple bolt/clip on solution would sell for the right price..ask Doris :D
